The 6% of mortgages in Italy go to foreigners

According to a survey by Facile.it and Mutui.it which analyzed a sample of over 3,500 practices concluded between January 1, 2016 and June 30, 2017, 6% of the loans granted in Italy are intended for foreign citizens, who averaged slightly over € 109,800 on average, covering 68% of the value of the property.

Looking at the rankings of foreign borrowers, Romania’s citizens are ranked first, accounting for 15.1% of loans granted to applicants with non-Italian nationality; Followed by the citizens of Albania (11.9%), Switzerland (11.4%), Moldova (6.8%), and Germany (5.9%).
