Milan, top managers and foreigners focus on the centre

Posted: 28 July 2016

Top managers looking for more space in a prestigious district or foreign purchasers hunting for an investment. This is the identikit drawn up by Engel & Völkers of the typical purchaser of a luxury apartment in Milan.

Brera is the most expensive zone, with sales between €6,400 and €9,750 per sqm. The fashion district (€6,200 – €8,500 per sqm) is directly behind San Babila, whereas Pagano/Piemonte/Buonarroti (€4,000 – €5,550) and Indipendenza/Cinque Giornate/Città Studi (€3,700 – €5,250) are more spaced out.

In Milan the percentage of foreigners who buy prestigious properties is below 20%.
