Public procurement: Calls for small works increase but collapse for large amounts

Small public works contracts show signs of recovery after the entry into force of the Procurement Code correction.

According to Cresme-Sole 24Ore Observatory data, calls for tenders up to €15 million are growing in June with variations ranging between 18 and 45% per annum.

The aggregate amount of works contracted in the entire market in June recorded a 33.6% reduction compared to June 2016 due to the collapse (-69.5%) of the major works of higher value to €50 million.
