Posted: 1 August 2016

Rental prices in Italy rise in the second quarter. It is perhaps excessive to talk of them soaring, but according to numerous market sources there has been an average increase of 3.1%, equal to € 8.8 per month and 3.2% annually.

For an apartment of 65 sqm, this means a monthly rental payment of € 572 on average, ranging from € 1,014 in Milan to € 260 in Caltanissetta.

The best cities remain Milan, Venice and Rome, with €15.6, €14.4 €13.9 per sqm per month respectively.
