Earthquake: €1.2 billion are coming from Europe for reconstruction

Posted: 30 August 2017

The European Parliament intends to unlock €1.2 billion destined for Italy for post-earthquake reconstruction.

The resources will come from the EU Solidarity Fund and this is the highest figure ever allocated by this vehicle.

The decisive step will be the vote in the Budget Committee in Brussels, and then in mid-September there will be the final free way for the Strasbourg Parliamentary Assembly.
