“Casa del Pero” is located close to Cavalese (population 4,039), in the Autonomous Province of Trento (population 540,958), in the Trentino-Alto Adige Region. The municipality is located in the Fiemme Valley, on the slopes of the Lagorai mountain range, where the Alpe Cermis massif stands. The historical centre offers numerous craft and sportswear shops, a disco, pubs, wine bars, renowned restaurants, perfectly restored period buildings (one of these houses the Museum of Contemporary Art), elegant villas and modern sports facilities. The Alpe Cermis ski lifts depart from the village, taking skiers and hikers to spectacular high-altitude panoramas and towards the valley floor, which in summer is crossed by the Dolomites cycle path and in winter by the Marcialonga cross-country track. A short away distance from the town centre are the Parco della Pieve, with the archpriest church of the Assunta (year 1112), the Cavalese waterfall and the secular tree “Pezo del Gazolin”. The urban area is crossed by the State Road SS48 (of the Dolomites), an important axis that runs through the Dolomite area from Alto-Adige to Trentino and up to Belluno. The “Egna Ora” motorway exit of the A22/E45 highway (Brennero) and the Ora railway station, on the Bolzano-Verona train line, are 26 km from the area (30 minutes by car), while Verona airport is located 150 km away from the municipality (90 minutes by car).
