Accomodation-tourist facility situated in Parco dei Cento Laghi on the Tuscan and Emilian Appennines, near the Emilian and Tuscany border , in a naturalistic context of rare beauty. The whole structure, built in the mid-70s, is composed of hotel – restaurant – bar, chair lift LM14 “Prato Spilla – Rio Spilla” and ski lift LS 117 “Capanna Biancani” which represents the element of culmination of the Appennine Ski area. The ski area is composed of 8 ski slopes of 10kilometers, summercamp, baby snowpark and ski school.

The structure, primarily athletic, and mostly a ski area, is situated at 1350 meters above sea level, inside the Appennine Emilian- Tuscan National Park, in a big naturalistic context. The structure, born in the 70s as a ski area, is articulated in buildings with different functions connected with the sporting activities: restaurant-hotel (offering 21 rooms), shelter, the Chair-lift departure station with areas intended for shops, shelters for means of transportation and equipments, apartments for the personnel, ambulatory, the access portico to the park, the transformation electric cabin, besides wooded lands and fields which measure 204 hectars. The station, centre point of the touristics activities at the ridge of the Parmanese Appennine, has been the object of an important project of requalification, which has seen different subjects involved, of which the Appennine-Tosco national park, the Regional park of the Cento Laghi (Hundred lakes), the Appennine Montana Parma est community, Monchio delle Corti district, Central Emilian reclamation consortium and the maniging subjects, allowing the relaunch of the same station, also in a seasonal adjustment perspective. The tourist station is situated in the Monchio delle Corti district (933 habitants), in Prato Spilla, at 1350 m of altitude, in the province of Parma (447.779 habitants), at the border of the Tuscan region, just before the Appennine ridge Tuscan-Emilian watershed. The area in which is located the whole structure is part of the Regional park of the Cento Laghi (Hundred lakes) inside the Tuscan- Emilian Appennine National park. The access in the area is granted by SP 75 ( of the Cento Laghi/Hundred Lakes) and by SP 665. The property is distant 75km from Parma, 95km from Sassuolo, 90km from Reggio-Emilia and 115km from Modena. Across the local road access and the A-15 highway is possible to reach the Ligurian coast and the high Tyrrhenian, with the city of La Spezia located at 58km, Massa at 54km, Forte dei Marmi at 85km and Viareggio at 100km. The International airport of Galileo Galilei of Pisa (4.800.000 passengers in 2015), is located at 120Km, instead the closest FS Station is located in the city of La Spezia, with connections for Genoa, Milan, Parma, Pisa and Rome.
