Sciesopoli is the name of a building erected in the Thirties and destined to summer camp. It consists of four pavilions: two in Modern style and two in Rationalistic style. The basic idea is to maintain its original features and reactivate some services in use during the Fascist era, like the gym and the swimming pool. It will also be possible to create restaurant businesses, as well as a space for cultural and sport initiatives. The aim is to continue the restoration, started with waterproofing and stabilization works, with various renovation interventions inside and outside the building.

The beautiful rationalist building, that was in the past a place of humanitarian value, will accommodate again persons, children, elderly, disabled, feeding their bodies and their minds. This is still possible thanks to its large spaces distributed on four pavilions:
– The main building – “the mind” – with museum and exhibitions
– The pavilion Dux – “the body” – with swimming pool and gym
– The pavilion Fabrizio – “the rest” – with dormitories and services
– The pavilion Arnaldo – “the refreshment” – with bar and restaurant
all surrounded by the wood – “the nature” – with its thematic park.
The complex is surrounded by a large park of 17.000 sqm destined partly to public green areas and partly to social gardens.

Selvino is about 60 kilometres north-east of Milan and about 11 kilometres north-east of Bergamo.
Situated at 1.000 m above sea level in the spectacular landscape of the Orobie Prealps, Selvino is one of the most renowned holiday destinations in Lombardy.
It offers many opportunities to sport lovers and is the perfect starting point for outdoor walks. Those who seek relax and leisure will find here many attractions and events throughout the year. Selvino is also famous for the quartz crystals scattered in the thin Quaternary layer of sedimental material cover-ing the Mesozoic rocks.
