The property, once used as a military barracks, takes up three sides out of four of a block located within Corso Valdocco, Via di San Domenico and Via Nota, in the city centre, near Piazza dello Statuto, a district with many monuments and historic sites. The planning variant authorising the redevelopment project envisages the transformation of the buildings overlooking Corso Valdocco and Via San Domenico, through a renovation of the existing premises, into residential and services units. The building located on Via Nota will be demolished and rebuilt with a maximum height of 5 floors. It shall have the same intended use as the other buildings. The total surface covered after the development project shall be 3,305 m², residential buildings, and 808 m², services. The central position, the excellent urban context and the presence of the main means of transport make for an extremely appealing project.

The property is located in the centre of the Municipality of Turin (896,773 inhabitants), Capital of the province and Piedmont region, the 4th Italian city in terms of residents. The district that hosts the property is the city’s oldest district and, together with Crocetta district, it represents the first Division of the municipal territory. The urban context is mainly residential, built during the sixteenth-seventeenth century, and has recently undergone many regeneration projects. The area is served by both pubic and private services, shops, offices and public car parks. It is well served by surface means of transport and by the underground; the stop, “Piazza XVIII dicembre” is 600 mt away from the property. The high speed railway station “Torino Porta Susa” is 800 mt away from the property whereas Porta Nuova railway station is 2.5 km away.
