The undersecretary of the Mibact – Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism, Lorenza Bonaccorsi, together with Antonio Agostini, director of the Italian Public Property Agency, Giorgio Palmucci, president of Enit – National Agency of Tourism, and Fausto Recchia, CEO of Difesa Servizi SpA, have presented last October 7th Valore Paese Italia, a national project to encourage sustainable tourism in connection with the enhancement of public real estate assets of historical and natural interest. The project aims to contribute to the economic and social development thanks to a public-private partnership.
Valore Paese Italia is an integrated cross project which, also in the light of the economic crisis caused by the health emergency during the last months, aims to increase the tourist and cultural offer and to enhance different locations by creating a national network of excellence. The tourist and cultural projects are intended to promote slow and sustainable mobility and rail tours, as well as to enhance public real estate assets along a network of roadhouses, a network of villages, and the thematic strands of astronomical and meteorological observatories, of nature reserves and UNESCO cultural landscapes.
The use of a single brand, Valore Paese Italia, enables the gathering of different thematic networks and the coordination of a set of structured actions through a common platform. This will also inform about economic and fiscal support and incentives for the enterprises, at national and European level.
