The building, called the “former Casa del Fascio,” has a regular plan, three floors above-ground, and a basement, with an entrance from via Giuseppe Garibaldi 56 and a private courtyard located at the rear of the main entrance. The property, which came into the possession of the State following the dissolution of the National Fascist Party, was used until 1944/1945 as shelter for refugees, and subsequently served as a junior high school until 1981. Due to its state of preservation and age, it remained unused for several years. Around the early 2000s, it was subject to safety works by the Public Works Department. The building has a load-bearing masonry structure, with floor slabs made of double T iron beams and brick tiles, and a pitched roof with a wooden structure, boarding, and tiles. The connection between the various floors is via a masonry staircase. The building has a total gross area of approximately 552.00 sqm., about 138 sqm. per floor, a total net area of approximately 410.00 sqm., and a private courtyard of 270 sqm.

The historic centre, where the property is located, represents the true treasure of Serradifalco, with its artistic and architectural masterpieces. At the end of Via Duca, where the Ducal Palace and the Palace of Baron Piazza stand opposite each other, rises the Mother Church, built in 1740 and dedicated to Saint Leonard Abbot, the patron saint of the city. Continuing along Via G. Lombardo, you come across the Church of the Immaculate Conception, which houses four large paintings by Vito D’Anna.
