Alto Adige and Cortina d’Ampezzo: residential market on the rise

Posted: 2 July 2018

Alto Adige and Cortina d’Ampezzo are among the most popular Italian locations for summer and winter tourism thanks to the majestic mountain range of the Dolomites. For that reason, in the past two years, the residential market registered an increase in purchases and demand, even for the luxury properties.

According to Engel & Völkers, for new or restored and best located properties, the price is around 12.500 -14.000 euro per sq.m., while for the not restored and in less strategic positions ones the price fall down 6.500- 8.500 euro per sq.m.

The buyers are mostly Italian, with a significant share of demand coming from Germany and Austria, in particular for properties in Merano and Bolzano.
