Bank of Italy: real estate prices are stable in the third quarter

Prices are stable in the property market according to the congounturale survey of the Bank of Italy, which consists of an interview with a representative sample of real estate agents in the country.

Most of the interviewed agents in the third quarter of 2016 has measured a substantial stability in housing prices, and decreased the proportion of agents reporting falling prices. The proportion of agencies that sold at least a dwelling increased slightly compared to the previous survey (to 72.9% from 71.3%).

The balance between the percentage of agencies reporting an increase in the number of potential buyers and that of agencies reporting a decrease rose to 4.6 percentage points, from 1.7% in the previous survey, approaching the values of a year earlier ( 6.1 points).
