Banca d’Italia promotes l’Aquila

Sidief – the real estate company that manages the property assets of the Bank of Italy, has launched a competition of ideas named “Quartiere 2.0” in order to bost the historic District Bank of Italy in Aquila.
The contest, in collaboration with the University of L’Aquila, is addressed to the students of the University of L’Aquila and those of the Gran Sasso Science Institute (GSSI).

The idea is to revitalize the historical district named Quartiere, built in the forties by the Bank, which covers an area of ​​approximately 28 thousand square meters, close to the historic center.

The project  starts from the sale of two buildings in via Giovanni XXIII, to be totally renovated, whose  proceeds will be destined for direct investments of the Company to refinance other projects including the redevelopment of the leased property, the road conditions, energy efficiency measures, the installation of thermal power plants of the latest generation, etc.

The proposals must be innovative, and therefore should be based on smart and environmentally friendly technologies; shall identify new features that attract the interest of new families, of young students and workers. Are also requested proposals for the consortium management and services for the tenants (ie: by reference to the residences for young people); this will also be represented through the study of information systems, or the use of social and app dedicated to proposals for the logistics of the neighborhood (roads, outdoor areas, etc.).
