BlackRock looking at entering the Italian real estate market

Posted: 18 November 2016

The investment american giant BlackRock is exploring various assets in Italy with a view to entering the Italian real estate market, focusing on Milan in particular, according to an article published by Sole 24Ore.

“Real estate is growing in importance in investors portfolios,” said Tom Lee, who heads the Group’s EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) real estate sector of BlackRock.

“In Italy, where we are very active, we’re still looking for assets in line with our strategy – said Lee – We’re extremely selective, though. We’re focusing on cities that feature economic and real estate drivers, Milan first and foremost, even though we don’t have a local team there yet”.
