Bologna: the rental demand is growing, rents +2% in the second half of 2018

Posted: 1 January 2019

In the city of Bologna, in the second half of 2018, the residential sector showed a strong shift in demand from the buying and selling to the rental market, returning to the 2014 levels, as emerged from the 3rd 2018 Real Estate Observatory by Nomisma.

The rentals demand is growing exponentially while the supply is increasingly rarefied, especially in the center and half-center.

Also due to the strong pressure of tourist demand for short-term rentals, the rental market is more buoyant, pushing up average rents from 0.4% in the first half to 2.0% in the second half.
