Urban Mall: a format where food and beverage will cover over the 20% of the commercial surface

From the “Where does shopping go” research, which analyses the behaviour of customers in the malls, we observe that the 71% of the interviewees go to shopping centres especially because of commercial galleries.

About the 30% of those going to the shopping centre are no longer motivated by the purchase, but by the restaurant services, and shopping / entertainment services.

In the future, the commercial galleries will have a more important role than hypermarkets and it will be vital to create a strong and distinctive brand identity and to adapt the services supporting the shopping and the services supporting the visit to the commercial galleries (children’s area, nursery, etc.).
