E-commerce: in Italy it is worth over 27 billion

The growth path of the E-Commerce sector in Italy continues. According to the data of the b2c Observatory by the School of Management of the Polytechnic of Milan, in Italy the value of online purchases exceeded 27.4 billion euro in 2018, with a 16% increase over the previous year, the highest ever.

In 2017, the most common type of online purchases in Italy concerned tourism services, with over 9.8 billion euros. On the goods side, in the last year there has been a strong increase in the purchase of electronic products, which have moved more than 4 billion (+ 18%), while the demand for apparel products remains strong (2.9 billion).
