It’s a record summer for tourism: turnover of €22 billion

Summer 2017 is very positive for the Italian tourism industry, which generates a turnover of €22 billion thanks to at least 34 million people.

This is revealed by a survey by Federimmobiliare, which underlines how the Ferragosto period is the golden age of the summer season.

According to the analysis, over 22 million Italians remained in Italy. Of these 7 out of 10 have chosen sea and beach, in particular the Apulian, Sicilian, Sardinian and Romagna seaside resorts.

Italy is also betrothed by foreigners, with a rise of 3% over 2016. Germans, Frenchmen, British and Americans are the most present.
