Federalberghi: 2.4 million Italians on holiday for Epiphany

Some 2.4 million Italians went on vacation during the long weekend of Epiphany (+ 1.7% compared to last year) and most of them, 95.9%, remained in Italy.

According to a survey of Federalberghi, just under half (1.1 million) has started these days, while 798,000 have started their Christmas vacation, and while 506,000 others are outside the home by New Year.

The estimated turnover is 437 million, at an average cost of around € 397.
