Posted: 31 May 2018

The number of hotel guests increased from January to April (total + 1.4% of which + 0.9% Italians and + 1.9% foreigners). This is what emerges from the “tourism barometer”, periodic survey of sector indicators, carried out by Federalberghi in collaboration with EBNT (National Tourism Bilateral Agency) for the first quarter of 2018.

The balance for tourist expenses for foreigners in Italy also grew (+ 7.7% compared to 2016) and for Italians abroad (+ 8.9% compared to 2016).

The trend in airport traffic was also very positive both in terms of the number of passengers on international flights (+ 8.3%) and those on domestic flights (+ 3.8%).
