International contest for the upgrading and redevelopment of the “Centrale del Foro Italico” in Rome

CONI, the Italian Olympic Committee, launched on the 1st of October an international contest that represents the first stage of a tendering procedure aimed at selecting the highest quality solutions to redevelop and upgrade one of the main sports’ arena in the city of Rome.

The Foro Italico sports complex includes the world known Tennis court where the ATP Master 1000 is held each year and the present opportunity relates to a total budget commitment of € 27,6 million.

The contest is open to professionals, companies and consortia able to provide architectural and functional solutions that will be valued and ranked to select the first best seven ideas. The winner of this first selection stage will be prized with 100.000 €, while other 150.000 € will be shared between the other seven proposals. The selected proponents only will be admitted to the second stage of the tendering procedure.
