Investors chasing luxury shops

Posted: 21 July 2016

The race is open between investors, especially international investors, to snap up shops in Italy’s luxury streets, confirms World Capital’s latest report on H1 2016.

What makes Italian retail so attractive? Firstly a space in Italy’s most sought after luxury streets will remain empty for 30 days at the most and the demand for this type of space is consistently sustained.

Real estate values are being pushed in this sector, which is considered “safe” despite the fact that consumption data is not growing, because retail real estate in Italy is viewed as a decidedly liquid investment at the moment.
