In the construction sector, positive prospects for September 2018 (+ 2.7%)

ISTAT estimates that in September 2018 the seasonally adjusted index of production in the construction sector increased by 1.3% compared to the previous month.

Construction output is estimated to increase by 0.5% in the third quarter of 2018 (July to September) compared to the previous quarter.

This rise follows a growth of 0.7% in the second quarter and a contraction of 0.9% in the first quarter of the current year.

On a yearly basis, in September 2018 production output grew by 2.7%.

After adjustment for calendar effect differences, when comparing the first 9 months of 2018 with the same months a year ago, construction output was up 1.5%.
