Sales of offices and commercial real estate grew in the first quarter

The real estate market in Italy grew in the first quarter thanks to the office and retail sector.

According to the newspaper Milano Finanza, the total value of real estate sold is almost €2 bln, up 20% compared to the first quarter of 2016.

Dictate reads the office sector, which represents more than 50% of the market, with strong focus on Milan and Rome.

The yields range from 3.5% for high standing properties in the center of Rome and Milan, up to 6.5% of outlying buildings in the secondary cities
