Residential market, american people love Italy

Food, fashion and Italian language are just some of the attractions that encourage Americans to look for a second home in Italy.

According to a report made by Gate-away.com, portal dedicated to those looking for home in Italy from abroad, the number of requests for Italian properties coming from the US grew by 50% in the first three quarters of 2016.

The average value of the property sought is €375,000, but over 70% of the claims relates to property under €250,000. The favorite regions by the Americans are Toscana (17.68%), Umbria (11.97%) and Liguria (9.03%), followed by Lombardy (8.55%), Abruzzo (7.91%), Sicily (7,72%).
