House prices in Florence and Milan started to grow again

Posted: 20 March 2018

After years of crisis, the real estate market is starting to move up the slope. According to the Agenzia delle Entrate, or Revenue Agency, last year more than 540,000 homes changed ownership, showing an increase of 4.9% compared to 2016.

The positive figure concerns in particular some cities like Florence, where there is a real boom: between the Duomo and Santa Croce prices have increased by 25.8%.

Milan follows. Here in 2017 sales increased by 8.5% and average prices recorded a +2.5% compared to 2014. The area between the Bocconi University and the Navigli, which has seen a growth 20%, is the most popular.
