The well-positioned nineteenth-century building has six floors above ground and has a four-sided view: Palazzo Tursi and Palazzo Albini (town hall), Palazzo Bianco and Palazzo Rosso (headquarters of the museums of Strada Nuova).
occupied by municipal offices - free of charge
The building is located in an exceptional position, between Palazzo Tursi and Palazzo Albini (town hall), Palazzo Bianco and Palazzo Rosso (headquarters of the museums of Strada Nuova). The plan is repeated in an identical fashion on all levels, with the stairwell located in the centre of the building (with a lift located outside the plan), and the main view facing south.
It currently houses municipal offices and is therefore connected to Palazzo Tursi and Palazzo Albini by internal pedestrian pathways that are in fact the main points of access. The only independent access is from the pedestrian ascent of S. Francesco, located on the west side, at the access point to the “Daneo” primary school (with which it shares the inner garden to the north).
Status: In the heart of the historic centre of the city of Genoa, it is worth noting that the complex is close to the institutional centre of the Municipality of Genoa, to the financial and economic centre of the city, and to the prestigious historic centre of the city with its panoramic viewpoints, museums, aquariums and UNESCO sites.
