The property, called Selli Palace, is articulated on four floors above the ground and has some bonds pursuant to Legislative Decree 42/2004. The property is characterized by the presence of paintings, lined ceilings coffers, arches and stone fillings, layered volts in brick and tiled floors, stucco and decorations both internally and externally. The building, transferred to the patrimony of the Region of Abruzzo with the bonds of use as hotel-housing for students, is at present not accessible because of the earthquake of 2009, that was used as University residence. The property is part of the public buildings for the CIPE (Inter-departmental institution for economic programming) has issued funds for its reconstruction (funds equal to 6,266,000.00 approved with deliberation CIPE n° 48/2016 and 24/2018), with the conclusion of the works foreseen by 2022. The property, according to the current General Planning Regulation (PGR) is inserted in the historical zone of the chief administrative centre, disciplined by articles 52 and 53 of the NTA, with the following uses: residential, public services, green areas, general equipment. New businesses are note admitted except those that are public and administrative with low citizen flows.

Palazzo Selli is situated in the historical centre of L’Aquila (69,439 inhabitants), chief administrative centre of the province with the same name (300,404 inhabitants) and the Region of Abruzzo, partially destroyed in the earthquake of 2009. The property is situated hallway through Via Paganica, parallel to Corso Vittorio Emanuele, street that connects Piazza di Santa Maria Paganica (quarto di Santa Maria) and Via A. Bafile in correspondance of the Palace of Margherita d’Austria, historical office of the Municipality. Therefore, its location coincides with the civic centre that was built around the second half of the 400s, while the present structure is that which was built in the 700s. The city in Abruzzo is very well connected with the highway with the exits “L’Aquila Ovest” of highway “A-24” (Roma-L’Aquila-Teramo) at about 4 km. The international airport of Pescara (0,700 million passengers in 2017) is about 100 km away.
