The building has been unused since 2012 when, with the reform of the Provinces, the social functions were transferred to the regional body. The building built in 1959 is characterized by a regular L-shaped layout and is structured as follows, depending on the slope of the land: three aboveground floors uphill and four floors downhill, plus basement and habitable attic, with a total gross surface area of 4,931 sqm. The load-bearing structure is made of a reinforced concrete frame, beam and brick floors cast in situ; the roof has sloping pitches, covered with tiles. The external walls are plastered; the fixtures are partly in wood and aluminium, the most recent in PVC, due to various maintenance interventions. It is equipped with a lift, central heating system and boiler room, located outside, in an independent building of 20 sqm, located in the relevant area; the external space, which extends for 4,860 sqm, is completely fenced, and is laid out downhill, as a garden with various tree species, while the uphill part is used as a square and car park, through which the building is accessed from the main road. The property, currently registered as a public office (land registry category B/4), is urbanistically identified as “Network, Services, Standard Equipment Infrastructure of Urban-Territorial Interest“, including school buildings and assets of collective interest. The property, due to its layout characteristics, can be used as an office, a student residence, a retirement home or accommodation facilities; it requires significant structural, building and plant renovation.
