The estate is part of the first floor in the east wing of the wider complex named Monastery of San Domenico, dating back to the 16th Century. It is accessible from Piazza Mariano Rossi, near the monument dedicated to Tommaso Fazello, through a staircase common to the neighbouring sacred building.
The real estate unit, proposed as a temporary concession, has a regular plan consisting of 8 main rooms, a hallway and two toilets with ante-bathroom. The property has views both on the public square and inside the former monastic cloister.
It is in mediocre conditions and needs maintenance works, especially with reference to technological systems.
The property has been declared of historical and artistic interest with regional Decree n. 5315 dated 02/13/2009 and therefore it is protected under Legislative Decree n. 42 dated 01/22/2004.
Subject to the requirements that the protection authority may wish to issue, and within the limits prescribed by articles 14-15-16 of the ITS attached to the GUP, following intended uses are provided for:
Sociocultural activities (cultural events, artistic production, concerts, exhibition spaces, workshops, etc.) and related ancillary services, territorial promotion activities (sustainable tourism, wellness, discovery of the territory, etc.), with a view to public fruition of the property and urban regeneration.

The property is located in the historic centre of Sciacca. The urban fabric of Sciacca reflects the Islamic influence. The walls were rebuilt and expanded several times over the centuries. Between the 15th and 16th centuries the landed aristocracy built sumptuous palaces, such as the Palazzo dello Steripinto, built in 1501.

The municipality of Sciacca overlooks the sea to the south. To the east rises Mount San Calogero (or Mount Kronio), with its nature reserve and from whose slopes the renowned thermal waters flow.

Sciacca is easily accessible, well connected via fast roads and motorways to the main centres of Sicily. It is only 27 km from Agrigento, home to the famous Valley of the Temples. Palermo airport is 105 km away.
