The building complex, built by the Military Administration between the 40s and 50s, was originally used for warehouses; it consists of eight buildings and four canopies, as well as some smaller buildings including a chimney, roofless ruins and some ramps, originally intended for the maintenance of military vehicles.

The buildings were built by the Military Administration between the 40s and 50s, on land that had been donated to the State. They were permanently abandoned for governmental use in 2011.

The complex is located in the district called “Regio Parco – Barriera di Milano”, which is part of Circoscrizione 6 of Turin, located in the north-eastern suburb of the city, near the confluence of the Stura di Lanzo in the Po river.

The urban context is characterised by the presence of lines of connection with the outside of the city towards Milan. It is an area connected to public transport, with good parking facilities. Furthermore, the design of the Turin metro line 2 involves the construction of a stop at Via Bologna. The area is now predominantly residential, with numerous abandoned industrial areas or areas undergoing conversion.
