The property unit consists of a Grand Hall used for representative functions, with an adjoining service area, and is part of the historic building referred to as Palazzo della Luce, located on the raised ground floor of the building. Construction began in 1915, based on a design by the Turin architect Ceresa, to house the new headquarters of the Cassa di Risparmio di Torino, and was completed after World War I by the Società Idroelettrica Piemonte. In 1962, ownership was transferred to ENEL (the Italian national electricity company), from which the name “Palazzo della Luce” derives. The building has a mixed residential and tertiary use. The main entrance, located at Via Antonio Bertola 40, is shared by all units with different uses and provides access to the Grand Hall being sold. The structure is built with load‑bearing masonry; the roof is partly pitched, partly a walkable terrace, and—over the central Grand Hall—a glazed dome. The Grand Hall is part of a larger property unit registered in the cadastre under category D/8. The portion of the property being sold will—after the award and before the signing of the sale contract—undergo building, urban‑planning, and cadastral subdivision, to be carried out and financed by Agenzia delle Entrate–Riscossione (the Italian Revenue Agency), subject to prior authorization by the competent Superintendence for Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape (Legislative Decree 42/2004).

The property unit is located in the city centre of Turin, at Via Antonio Giuseppe Ignazio Bertola 40, Via S. Dalmazzo 17, Via S. Maria 7A and 9A, and Via Stampatori 18A (O.M.I. zone: B5 – “Garibaldi”), in an area characterized by both residential and tertiary buildings, in the immediate vicinity of the La Marmora Gardens, onto which its main façade faces.
