The building, owned by the autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, was built with a regular plan on an area of 830 sqm and is divided into seven floors above ground. The Palace is divided into two real estate units with separate entrances, and is located in the historic centre of Trieste, with access from Via Milano. A portion of the ground floor is intended for commercial use (shop), while the remaining part of the building is used for “public offices”, still used today as an institutional headquarters by the Region. In 2005, the building was declared of cultural interest by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities. The entrance, highlighted on the outside by the presence of a pair of columns, allows access to a monumental atrium in which a large staircase leads to the internal stone staircase, protected by a balustrade made of embossed iron. The building, served by an elevator, is an interesting example of eclectic architecture and an important element of Piazza Vittorio Veneto, which it partly overlooks, a square where important buildings for the architectural and urban history of the city stand.

The property is located in the central area of Trieste (population 198,843), capital of the province of the same name and of the Friuli Venezia-Giulia Region, in the Borgo Teresiano district, built starting from the 18th century on the initiative of Emperor Charles VI. The building is located in the immediate vicinity of the Porto Vecchio, one of the most significant redevelopment areas of the city, and the “Trieste Centrale” railway station, which is 600 meters away (7 minutes on foot). The presence in the area of the most important monuments and museums and the main tourist attractions of the city, make the property one of considerable interest; in addition to the train station, the bus station and the cruise terminal, with numerous local public transport stops, can be found in the vicinities. The “Trieste-Lisert” exit of the A-4 motorway (Turin-Milan-Trieste) and the Trieste international airport are respectively 25 and 35 km away from the city.
