The building has an irregular pentagonal plan, with an internal courtyard, also pentagonal in shape, open to sky.

The structure has a reinforced concrete load-bearing framework consisting of foundations, pillars, and vertical walls, beams, and horizontal girders. The horizontal floors are made of reinforced brick-concrete, as are the sloped roof floors.

The façades are characterized by a grey stone cladding from the sidewalk level up to the floor level of the first floor, and above that, coloured civil plaster. The stone cladding is also present around the windows, serving as a frame for them.

There are two roofs, one above the second floor (attic) of the available rooms and one above the fourth floor (attic) of the accommodation tower. Both consist of sloped reinforced concrete and brick slabs with an overhang of about 1.5 m in reinforced concrete, waterproofing, and a covering of painted Portuguese tiles.

As for the internal finishes of the bank offices, the wall finishes are in plaster and Venetian stucco in some rooms (main entrance, public hall), suspended ceiling in movable panels open for inspection.

The building, being adjacent to the D’Este Park, is subject to specific regulations by the Superintendent’s Office. Therefore, “any project to modify the current state of the property must be previously approved by the competent Superintendent’s Office.”
