Savills: foreign interest growing in Italy

Posted: 22 September 2017

According to Savills World Research there is something to be optimistic about in the future of the Italian real estate market.

Indeed, according to the data gathered, interest from foreigners is growing in Italian housing, becoming of increasing interest as a second family residence.

Foreigners, even those from the other side of the world, are interested in purchasing a home that is ready to be inhabited and does not require refurbishment, perhaps even with a sea or lake view.

Specifically, transactions grew by 18% in 2016, with a 22% peak in the north, whereas prices are stabilising thanks to an average discount of 16-12%.
