Tecnocasa: 17% of the loans are underwritten by foreign people

According an analysis by the Studies Office of Tecnocasa in Italy 17% of mortgages granted each year finances the purchase of a home by foreign buyers.

Nearly 13% are citizens of other European countries and 4.1% are non-European immigrants.

The most represented nationalities are Romanian (31.2% of the total foreign), Albania (16.5%) and Moldova (10.8%). Among non-Europeans, instead, the most present are: Peruvian (3.6%), followed by Moroccans (2.5%) and Indians (2.3%).
