The food and beverage tourism double in Italy: economic impact over 12 billion euros

In one year the food and beverage tourism has doubled in Italy. Over 110 million overnights in 2017, twice compared to 2016, were driven by the food and beverage tourism.

As it emerges from the Isnart-Unioncamere Report, it is expected an economic impact of over 12 billion euros (equal to 15.1% of total tourism), generated by the tourists spending.

The 43% of tourist numbers is Italian (with 47 million of tourist numbers), while the 57% are international (with 63 million of tourist numbers).

Among the most popular activities there are local food and beverage tastings, purchasing of artisan and food and beverage products typical of the territory.
