National Task force for the valorization of public real estate assets

The new structure uses the real estate database created and managed by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, promoting integration with the databases of other public administrations. Real estate information is more easily accessible—through interconnections between public databases—to facilitate policy decisions, improve the use of real estate assets available to public administrations, and benefit potential investments, including for public debt reduction and urban development in various areas of the country.

The Ministry of Economy and Finance’s Department surveys real estate owned by public administrations, both central and local. The survey is part of the Public Administration Property project, launched in 2010 pursuant to Article 2, paragraph 222, of Law 191/2009, for the annual survey of public assets. The information, communicated by administrations through the Real Estate application, feeds a centralized database that serves as a knowledge tool for investigating the characteristics and use of public real estate assets and identifying potential enhancement measures.
