Posted: 5 September 2016

Villa Borromeo, historic home in Senago near Milan, is for sale on Casa.it, portal of residential real estate listings.

It is a Renaissance villa that is spread over an area of over 14,000 square meters surrounded by a park.

Built on the ruins of a Roman fortress by the Visconti family, lords of Milan from 1277 to 1395, and used as a fortress by Bernabò Visconti, the villa became Borromeo in 1629, when the new owner of the dwelling, Federico Borromeo, decided to take down one of the four sides of the structure used as a fortress, turning it into a residence.
