In 2017 the Real Estate mortgages riskiness decrease

In 2017 the riskiness of real estate mortgages decreased, taking advantage from the improvement of the real economy and favourable interest rates, as well as a greater awareness of customers requiring funding.

The default rate, calculated by CRIF, reduced in the last years, returning very close to pre-crisis levels.

In 2017 the risk stood on 1.7% (180 past due). Also the stock of accumulated non-performing loans takes advantages from this: in September 2017 it stood on 170,9 billion euros, down by 9.7% compared to the previous quarter
