ABI: mortgages run, investments are still

Posted: 8 November 2016

The new loans for the purchase of properties rose by 38% in the period from January to September 2016. This was announced by the ABI, or Associazione bancaria italiana.

This figure accounts for about one third of the subrogation and renegotiation. Business investment remains however still stuck.

According to the Abi this represents a brake on economic recovery. Investment demand remains very depressed: the gap compared to the pre-crisis period is 27%. Exports instead have recovered lost ground.
