Off-site student accommodation: rental increases continue

According Immbiliare.it, the high rent phenomenon continues to weigh on students, also for the academic year 2018, although with differences between university cities.

In Palermo and Bologna, the costs to be sustained for a single room increased by more than 10%, in others such as Pavia and Siena the required prices dropped by 8% compared to 2017.

The variation concerns not only the prices but also the offer, which in some cities is falling because absorbed by the request of workers.

With regard to room prices, in Milan there are record figures, with an average of 543 euros per month for a single (+ 3% in a year), with peaks of over 600 euros in the most central areas.
