Net bank bad debts fell in January

According to Abi (or Italian Banking Association), the net non-performing loans recorded in the Italian banks’ balance sheets fell to €59.3 bln in January against 64.1 bln in the previous month.

In 13 months, since December 2016, net non-performing loans have fallen by more than 30%, by approximately €27.5 bln.

Compared to the maximum level reached in November 2015 (88.8 billion), the reduction is almost 30 billion, or about one third.
