Halldis: short rentals growing fast

Posted: 15 June 2018

According to a research by Halldis, in Italy the short rentals market could interest 1 million properties, generating a 1.8 million earn for owners and over 4 billion euro earnings for Italian economy.

This stimulated the legislator attention who introduced an all-inclusive tax of 21% called “cedolare secca”.

The short rentals phenomenon in Italy is growing strongly due to the greater propensity of homeowners (there are currently 500 thousand owners who use short-term rentals) and both an increase in tourist and business demand.
