376 mln investment to bring Olympics to Turin, Milan and Cortina

Posted: 21 August 2018

The project of the Italian candidature for the Winter Games of 2026 – which rises from the merger between Cortina, Milan and Turin – has outlined a new map between competitions and events.

The structures are already existing or to be modernized, with the only exceptions of Milan with the PalaItalia in Santa Giulia-Rogoredo and the Olympic Village 1 at the Porta Romana railway station. In all, there are three planned Olympic villages, including those in Sondalo (former E. Morelli hospital) in the municipality of Bormio and Cortina-Socol.

The final investment forecast amounts to € 376.65 million.
