Istat: Building permits mark positive changes

The Istat data on building permits for new residential buildings, which can be considered anticipatory not only for the future production but also for the market for sales, report positive changes for the second consecutive year (2016 and 2017), although the level continues to be among the lowest since the post-war period.

The short and medium term scenario of the Italian real estate market will be increasingly influenced by the significant segmentation of demand, nourished also by the growing economic inequality among the population, as well as by the quality factor, urban and building, of the real estate products offered.
