Non-performing loans fell to 53.9 billion (-30.3% y/y) in March

Net non-performing loans decreased 30.3% to € 53.9 billion in March compared to the same month of the previous year.

This is what emerges from the monthly bulletin of the Italian Banking Association (or ABI), which highlights the strongly decreasing trend compared to the December 2016 figure (€ 86.8 billion).

In particular, the reduction is almost 35 billion (-39%) compared to the maximum level of net non-performing loans reached in November 2015 (88.8 billion). The ratio of net non-performing loans / total loans decreased to 3.11% (4.89% in December 2016).
