Nomisma: the 48% of the housing demand is rent oriented

According to Nomisma, the 48% of the housing demand is interested in a renting solution; the 52% is looking for a house in property.

Considering the demand component with respect to household spending capacity, there are different markets: Florence, Turin and Bologna, where the demand is oriented on a renting solution, as a choice of life; Milan, Rome and Padua where the demand invests on houses to be allocated to rent; Venice and Bari where the demand is directed to the rent because it is not able to support the purchase; Cagliari, Naples, Catania, Genoa and Palermo where the traditional demand prevails, which is aimed at buying with the use of the mortgage.
