Posted: 3 July 2018

As it emerges from the Nomisma 2018 Survey for families, the rent no longer represents a market of social interest, but it attracts different and potentially growing segments of demand.

In the last seven years, the share of leaseholds has increased from 15.7% to almost 20% and at the same time, alternative forms of enjoyment have increased (10%) that veil forms of “real rent” covered by the family network .

On one hand there are families driven by the impossibility to access the purchase due to the lack or insecurity of the job, with the rent representing a valid options than purchase.

On the other hand there are those families expressing the preference for liquidity and the willingness of not engage in a burdensome investment.
